Sgtm Google Ads remarketing failed

Hi Stape team,

I’m facing an issue with the "Google Ads Remarketing tag " in a server-side GTM container hosted on Stape.

As recommended in this topic, “Google Remarketing Tags not firing Outgoing HTTP Requests from server - #2 by giovaniortolani” , I am using the GA4 Tag from the web to the server to trigger Google’s tags.

I made some tests and the problem is not coming from Gclid or Consent mode.

More infos about my set up :

  • A google tag G-… on wGtm

  • Differents GA4 event Tags on wgtm

  • Conversion linker is on wgtm

  • Google ads tags (purchase/add to cart/remarketing) are only in sgtm with the name of the event as the trigger, and a condition trigger client name = GA4

  • In sgtm preview mode, the remarketing tag is firing on the first Page view in sgtm in “succeed’” (but no outgoing HTTP Requests from Server are shown). And after all the remarketing tags are showing “failed”

  • Any insight would be really appreciated !

Hi Emmanuel,

The issue you are experiencing could generally arise from an enabled Adblocker while you are testing your setup, or due to your Content Security Policy configuration.
