Will events still fire even if my Pixel is restricted/blocked by meta?

My pixel has been blocked by meta due to the category the business falls into (health related)

Will the Stape Meta CAPIG still send over events to Meta even tho the pixel is blocked?

@ALPopCreative If the pixel has been blocked by Meta, even if you use Stape Meta CAPI Gateway (CAPIG), the events will not be processed by Meta.

This is the meesage from Meta:

Data sharing restrictions applied

One or more websites or apps are in categories with data sharing restrictions. Specifically, certain standard events are blocked and your data source(s) are in a core setup. If you think that the categories haven’t been applied appropriately, you can request a review.

Whats weird when im in events manager and looking at my data source there is events in the overview fired by conversions API

Im really unsure into whether it is set up correctly, and if it is even possible to track events if my pixel is restricted

Meta applies restrictions to tracking certain types of default events (Purchase, Lead, CompleteRegistration, etc.) for some of the industries. I’m afraid you may have been affected by that.

If you’d like a workaround, try renaming the events manually to custom names instead.

thanks, all the events are custom made in GTM and have custom names, for example: GuideDownload, HomePageScrolled75% ETC ETC
