Requests from Shopify going directly to GA4

Hello,

I am getting an issue where the requests from my store are going directly towards GA4 and not to the GTM container. How do I troubleshoot this?

Please follow this guide to set up the GA4 tracking for Shopify:

If the requests go directly go GA4, it usually means that the Google Tag on your web container is missing the server_container_url parameter in its configuration. Please make sure that you’ve added it and that it points to your sGTM correctly.

Most likely you have GA4 integration active in Shopify. And it overwrites the Google tag settings you have in GTM. Disable the integration in Shopify or use a different measurement id.
