Request Count in My Stape Account

I recently created a Stape account and set up the Container settings and Domains (Tagging Server URLs) last week. However, I haven’t configured any Google Tag Manager (GTM) on WordPress or Google Analytics yet.

After just 3 days, I noticed that my account has already used 800+ out of the 10,000 available requests. This seems unusually high given my minimal setup and usage.

Could anyone help me understand what might be causing this? Is it possible that bots or crawlers are indexing my subdomain, or could there be another reason? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Stape counts any incoming requests sent to your Google Tag Manager Server container. It includes all script loads like gtm.js, gtag.js, etc.

If you tested your server setup i.e. launched sGTM preview - those hits would be calculated too.
Once every 10 seconds, maybe more often, it will keep on sending those hits to your server container.

It can also be bots or crawlers indexing your subdomain.

If you write to Stape support at support@stape.io, they can provide you with logs for one of the days when there was a request spike on your container and you can check what kind of requests they were.
