Regarding Data Tag and Facebook Pixel Tag

Hello,

I am using Data Tag in my Web Container and Server Container for Facebook Conversions API.

Should I add Facebook Tag Template (facebookarchive) in Web container for Browser side tracking and use Event ID to match deduplication with Data Tag (Server Side Tracking) ?

Like older method of Browser and Server Side Tracking: Facebook archive Tag template matches GA4 Server Side Events and deduplication happens in Facebook

Or is it enough to have only Data Tag for Server Side tracking?

That’s up to you really. Facebook wants you to do web events and server events and handle deduplication, that’s the official recommended way. And yes, would do that with that template and Unique Event ID like you described.

It is however entirely possible to do just CAPI (so hits from your server container) and omit the web.
