Regarding bypass processing of each script tag when using Google Tag G

Hi

We have confirmed that retrieval of the “gtm.js” and “gtag.js” libraries, as well as GA4 transmission requests, are properly bypassed to a subfolder under our own domain, as specified.

On the other hand, transmission requests for “Google Ads” and “Floodlight” do not appear to be bypassed, and instead seem to be directed to the existing Google servers.
Is it correct to understand that these advertising-related endpoints are excluded from bypass?

This setup was configured through Cloudflare’s automatic integration.

Hi @springmaron.

Yes, your understanding is correct. These requests need to collect 3rd party cookies. Therefore they are sent directly to Google’s servers.

Hi @giovaniortolani

Thank you, that makes sense.
I’ve also been in touch with Google Support, and they’ve been insisting that if the settings are configured correctly, Google Ads requests should be bypassed to our own domain — so I was getting quite confused.
