Poas - data feed

Good evening.
As the title suggests, I wanted to understand why the video shows it creating the same purchase tag for Google twice.

In one, it includes the POAS parameter, but in the other, it doesn’t.
Doesn’t this mean the same information is sent to Google twice?

Did I miss something?

Support tells me no but in the video you can see that the tag was also sent from the GTM server

Hi Eric,

In this case, one of the tags ‘GADS – purchase’ – reports to a conversion where value = revenue, whilst the other tag 'GADS – purchase POAS’ – reports to a conversion where only profit is reported. This is also mentioned in the video, stating that profit is reported to the ‘specific Google Ads conversion action’

We apologise if this wasn’t clear from the video.

@Dmytro i watched the video again.
I noticed that the two tags are there, but one doesn’t have the currency and price values, while the other contains the POAS values.

As you can see from the screenshot, the two tags still go to and from Google Ads.

Just wanted to kindly clarify that the aim of the video was specifically to explain how to set up profit reporting to Google Ads, and it did not focus on configuring other tags.

Regarding what you see in the video: if you leave the ‘price’ and ‘currency’ fields blank in the tag, the tag will automatically pick them up from the event data, so both tags fire.

@Dmytro

Hi. The intent was clear.
The only thing that’s less clear is the fact that two similar tags are configured for Google.

Thank you very much.
