Parsing consent signals to subdomains

Hi,

We need to parse consent signals into a subdomain using Cookiebot.
So when someone accepts cookies on our main domain and then opens a form on the subdomain (Tally forms), consent signals has to persist to subdomain.

Cookiebot treats a subdomain as a seperate domains, so consent signals doesnt get parsed even tho its a subdomain.

Anyone has an idea how to handle it?

Thanks!

Not a Cookiebot expert here, but found this help article that seems to point to a possible solution (using Domain Group).

Thank you !

Ill look at the domain group thingy, but their cross domain option only works of the browser supports 3 party cookies - so its kinda shit

I though about setting the Cookiebot Cookie on the subdomain, and then use the gtag update command based on the cookie value.

Yes, you can capture cookies from the main domain, and use the cookie monster tag template to store the cookies in the subdomain, then your conversion trigger will be according to the Cookiebot cookie values

Have actually done this a few times. Works like a charm, cause why wouldn’t it  The only thing you’re missing is the actual consent dialogue on those subdomains.

Hey @Dan thanks for confirming my idea , ill probalely end up doing that.

Are you referring to the actual CMP popup / banner not showing up ?
