I would like to install a server side tracking solution on my Shopify store, for Google ads and GA4.
I’ve been trying to install both a Stape Gateway and a sGTM (separatly) but I am in a bit of a dead end right now.
I understand that there is a base configuration to have to use the Stape Gateway on top, but this one is not detailed in the docs and I am unsure how to do it properly.
I also tried to install the sGTM solution by following the docs to the letter and using the setup assistance, multiple times, but I still can’t get any begin checkout and purchase events on the server container, even after publishing changes while I am still receiving other ones like add to card, page view…
Any kind of help would be appreciated !

sGTM container and Stape Gateway are two separate solutions for the same purpose, which allow you to configure server-side tracking.
We do not recommend using them simultaneously when sending conversions to the same analytics platform, such as Google Analytics, as this may cause conflicts and event duplication.
We recommend that you choose one of these solutions and check your settings again.
Also, usually, if you see that all events except specific ones (purchase, begin_checkout, etc.) are firing in Debug Preview Mode, it means that the problem lies in your setup and how you have configured your tags and triggers.

I did not try them simultaneously, it was seperatly.
Although I thoroughly followed the docs and even used the setup assistant that automatically setups the tags and triggers, I do understand that there is a problem there, and that’s why I am coming here today. I can’t find where it is.
I did write to the support team by I’ve been told they can’t help with this, which is also why I came here. Should I create another ticket ?
