How to prolong Oauth authentication? It's requested many times daily

Hi folks,
I started getting into using Stape about a week ago. I’ve likely been required to authenticate the connection at least 20. It asks me to authenticate many times every day.

Is this to be expected? I see other people have the same issue, as detailed here on GitHub.

There’s been no response on that issue report, so I am bringing it up here in the hope to resolve this.

This is the GTM MCP server, as detailed in the Github ticket I linked to.

It makes an OAuth request to https://gtm-mcp.stape.ai/mcp

As I am aware, the issue has been resolved.

Hi Dmytro,

Thanks for the update.

I can confirm it was set up using the latest guide.

I’ve also gone through the troubleshooting guide.

Another step I’ve since taken was to give this MCP it’s own authentication path, and at first I thought that helped. This was to avoid having to hose the other bun apps using the general auth folder.

However, it still asks for authentication every time I launch Claude, and many other times during the day. The other times seem (can’t say with 100% certainty) to occur when other MCPs are authenticating (typically in the background).

Is there anything else I can do to prevent this?

Also, what is the expected behaviour? How long should it remain authorised after going through the Oauth process?
