GTM4WP and Stape compatibility

Is the Stape Wordpress plugin still compatible with gtm4wp natively?
I installed the plugin in staging but I can’t find the checkbox (“Update existing GTM snippet”) anymore

This feature is not necessary now. Earlier as far as I remember in GTM4WP you could not use the data layer without adding GTM. Now your can do this. So you can install GTM via Stape plugin, and in GTM4WP use only data layer or other options.

I have a couple of questions for clarification:

  1. What do you think if I override the GTM snippet of gtm4wp by inserting the one generated by the stape panel (custom domain + cookie keeper)?

  2. If instead I decide to use the wp stape plugin and I want to activate the webhooks for purchase, do I have to disable the “standard” purchase tags (duplicate event)?

  1. no issues, snippet will load with our custom loader, gtm4wp will generate dataLayers, no conflict here

  2. webhooks need to be handled in your server container, if you just turn them on - nothing will happen. I presume you don’t really need those, but if you do - you need to take care of reporting (off of the webhook) only the purchases you haven’t traacked the ‘normal’ way
