GTM script sometimes blocked on checkout [WordPress]

Hi,

I am using Stape server-side GTM plugin to generate a custom loader code with cookie keeper option enabled.

What I’m experiencing with a few clients is that the GTM script is not being loaded on checkout. I need to refresh multiple times to get it to load, or I need to open up a DevTools > Network, and then the GTM script “magically” loads.

After I opened up DevTools and Network it loaded the GTM. I have also seen a disproportionately lower number of begin_checkout events in GA4.

Anyone knows what could be the cause for this?

This is most likely a GTM mode preview bug, what loader you use has no effect on this.
I would recommend clearing cookies/cache, make sure you have the latest version of chrome.
You can check in the browser network to see if GTM is loading and if your events are working - this is the surest way to make sure everything is working as you expect.
