GA4 vs Shopify analytics

Howdy,

Google Analytics 4 shows different count of users then Shopify Analytics with server side tracking enabled. See the images included for the comparison. Why is this happening?

Hi Arjan,

First of all, you can run debugmod in GA4, go through your site’s floo and check if everything is set up correctly.
Also check your GA4 reports to see where the events are coming from, maybe they are also coming from other sites.

Thanks Alex,

Debugview did show the correct setup. Can’t find the report to see where the events are coming from.

I do see Clarity as an event, that did not showed before using SS tracking. Is this a good thing or bad thing?

Could it be that Shopify does not track all the sessions/users?
