Right now, I have set up GA4 for client side through GTM. I’m seeing real-time events with the correct parameters in GA4. I set up GA4 in my server-side GTM too. These tags are triggered by GA4 Client with a specific measurement ID. I see that the tags are triggered properly. However, when I look at real time event, I would see two events being reported. For example, page_view would be counted as 2, and I checked their parameters, and the same event_id would be repeated twice. Is there a way for me to deduplicate them?
If understand you correctly, you’ve set it to be doulbe the events, one from server and one from the web. This is wrong and GA4 does not have any deduplication mechanisms. You should stick to either 100% client-side or 100% server-side reporting.
