I’m currently facing an issue with event deduplication between server and browser events.
The parameters — timestamp, source URL, event name, and event ID — are all identical. Yet, deduplication unfortunately still doesn’t work.
My setup:
I’m using Google Tag Manager with a Web Container and a Server Container.
As my server provider, I’m working with Stape.
• The browser event is sent via the Meta Pixel Tag as a PageView directly to the Events Manager.
• The server event is forwarded from the Stape Data Tag in the Web Container to the Server Container, and then sent to Meta via the Conversions API.
For matching the event ID, I’m using Stape’s Unique Event ID variable.
Unfortunately, I’m stuck at this point and hope someone in the community can help me resolve this.
