For anyone troubleshooting their GTM server setup and testing browser and server events reporting on Meta, it’s possible that Meta’s ‘Test events’ tool currently isn’t indicating whether deduplication for any event is being performed.
However in ‘Overview’ mode, I can see that both browser and server are in sync with the numbers reported for events.
However, when reviewing the details, I see the following:
Page View: Event DeduplicationMeeting best practices.
Lead: Event DeduplicationNot meeting best practices
Thus the Lead Event is showing agreement in browser and server events but not being deduplicated.
Meta interfaces are often glitchy and may display incorrect information. At the same time you should make sure that your web event and its server copy have the same event id parameter. If they are the same, deduplication will work without problems.

I have the same kind of problem.
Events for web and server have the same name, event_id etc, but they are not deduplicated.
The events of web and server are received exact on the same time, maybe that can be an issue?
If you see this problem in Meta events manager test tool - it’s probably just a UI bug in Meta, it happens. If events have the same name + same event_id - they will be deduplicated.
