Hi, i recently did the setup for sGTM through stape and activated the custom loader with same origin path. when checking the requests ( consented ) from stape for pageview event for example i see there is a discrepancy between stape analytics and GA4 data for this event, stape shows a slightly more numbers for events. is this normal and what might be the reason?
This is normal, as with a rejected GA4 consent hits will continue to be sent, but they are not displayed in GA4, and used just for consent modelling:
Stape Analytics shows data based on all hits, both with confirmed consent and rejected if you are using google consent mode. So it totally expected that you will see more events there.
Thank you a lot Alex for your response.
The point here is that the requests for page views sent with opt in ( consented ) are also mismatched with the number of page view on ga4 , not high percentage though.
This may be due to a time difference. Stape analytics works based on your access logs on Stape, which are linked to UTC+0, while your GA may be set to a different time zone.
