For FB CAPI in a client-side tag, select the “Require additional consent for tag” option and set ad_storage
for all FB CAPI tags. This ensures the tag fires only when consent is granted.
If you’re setting up consent for FB CAPI, this is the way to do it!
The approach you describe is generally correct. But most often it makes no sense if your Data tag sends data only for FB or only for marketing platforms.
In this case you can simply block the Data tag on the client part if there is no ad_storage consent - as I described it @Md_Monirul_Islam
